2018 Gymnastics Ontario Club of the Year

Our Club

We are the North's leader in quality gymnastics-based programming going on 54 years. Our 11,000 sq ft facility is complete with brand new, state of the art gymnastics equipment.

Our Team

We are a family owned and operated club, and our team of 45 staff is the heart and soul of everything we do. We hire for character and ability first, then train the skill ensuring the best role models for your child. Our coaches are trained and certified through the NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) including: Ethics & Risk Management, High Five, First Aid + CPR, in addition to ongoing mentorship and professional education opportunities. Our culture reflecting how we operate and instruct is centered around our core values: inclusivity, gratitude, teamwork, integrity, accountability, excellent service and open communication.

Our Classes

Our recreational classes are primarily circuit-style to ensure a safe, high-energy, action-packed and movement-filled learning environment for every child in the class. This program structure limits wait times between learning and increases child engagement and participation. All circuits can be progressed (made more challenging) or regressed (made easier) to meet each athlete where they are in their development which helps to build their confidence. Some gymnastics skills are complex and require variations of progressions and repetition to ensure safe, strong execution before moving onto the next step. Our coaching philosophy is help each athlete maximize their individual potential with a focus on fun, fitness and fundamentals leading to longevity in sport and in life.

Our Impact

Our program has produced the North's top gymnasts and trampolinists who have gone on to become the North's top pole vaulters, long jumpers, sprinters, hurdlers, hockey players, and more! What we are most proud of is who they've grown up to be. We are honoured to have the opportunity to positively enrich the lives of thousands of children in our community annually and help them grow into healthier, happier, empowered young people. We are excited to welcome you to the GymZone family.

Quality people, instruction & programs, safety first and FUN always!

GYMZONE TODAY, ATHLETE FOR LIFE

Land Acknowledgement

GymZone would like to acknowledge the Robinson-Huron Treaty of 1850. We also further recognize that our facility is situated on the traditional lands of the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek, and that the Greater City of Sudbury also includes the traditional lands of the Wahnapitae First Nation. We are grateful to be able to learn, live, work, teach and do gymnastics as uninvited guests, on the lands of the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek and Wahnapitae First Nation. To acknowledge these territories, is to recognize that these Indigenous peoples were here prior to colonization, and that the lands hold significance to them, those who came before them, and their future generations.
